Abandoned infant

Abandoned infant – within the Child Care procedures, this phrase refers to the figure of a small child, which has been left somewhere in public places (like on a bench in the park, or in a store) without any identification documents. Usually, children are abandoned by parents who are not willing or not able to take care of them. Therefore these go to the public social care facilities first. Once their legal status has been specified, then they are given to foster parents who are willing to raise them.
