Abrogate

Abrogate – it means to abolish or to replace previously existing and valid agreement. For example, you can do it via concluding new one. This could happen when two parties conclude a preliminary contract. Then at a later stage, they decide to amend the purchase price. So in this way, they abrogate the initial contract with a new one, to rule their legal relations for signing the final contract.

Synonyms of “abrogate” are “invalidate” and “annul”.
