Civil claim

Civil claim – in most jurisdictions this term details a civil dispute that involves court action, started by the claimant where they fill in and enter a claim against the defendant.

The term also refers to the lodged by the plaintiff document, explaining the dispute and requesting from the court to hear and decide on it. This is written request (together with its attachments) by a claimant towards the court, for proceeding to start against somebody (who is called “defendant”). The claim is also supported with the evidences that prove its point.
