Conveyance – this term refers to a written document which transfers Title of property from one person to another. In Real-estate Law, the conveyance usually refers to the actual document which transfers ownership, between persons living (i.e. other than by personal will), or which charges the real estate with another’s interest, such as a mortgage. This written document could be Title Deed or a contract for dividing a real estate, and within the European (Continental) Law system it is to be witnessed by notary public as well to be registered in the Land Registry Agency in the area where the property is situated.
