Decree – In the sphere of Parliamentary Law. It refers to an announced official statement, made directly to the public by a governmental authority like the Parliament or the President. The pronouncement informs the society about the legal actions of this Authority, institution or presiding person. Usually, it is a statement for an official position or applies to the recipients for taking particular behavior. Therefore, decrees may have the valid force of an act of Law.
