Disbursement – the term refers to miscellaneous expenses other than the fees of a lawyer and court costs (i.e. filing fees) which have been paid on behalf of another person and for which reimbursement will eventually be demanded of that person. In a personal liability case, for example, typical disbursements might be expert reports, private photocopying and courier costs, etc.
