General warranty – used in the Real Estate Law, this term details a guaranty that the purchaser’s Title Deed to real estate will be defended vs. all third parties. The registration of the Deed at the local Land Registry body has a role of a general warranty. The term could have also the meaning of a declaration by the seller, implemented in a Title Deed, that they will reimburse the buyer if the last one is evicted on a later stage from the property listed in the Deed because of previous faults by the seller. Title Deed with such embedded clause is called “General warranty deed”.
