Land Register – this is one of the names of the property department within the Registration Agency in many countries, with local offices somewhere too. There all properties have been entered with their identification documents, owners, etc., as well all legal activities with real estates have been detailed too – sales, purchases, mortgages, established burdens, etc. Another usage of Land Register is to identify the local Cadastral Agency. Usually there is a fee for registering a deal or a property, or for providing information to third parties, so it is understandable why a local property lawyer may charge you for investigating legal status of local properties, etc., cause they may have taxes to pay for such a legal investigation.
