Mis-joinder – this term is used in Court Trials, where details the figure of a person has been detailed as a legal party to a lawsuit when that person should not have been involved. When this is asserted, a court will usually fill in a request to amend the court documents to strike, or substitute for, the name of the mis-joined party.
