Notice to quit – in the sphere of Property Law in some legal systems, this term describes a notification for termination of the lease agreement and respectively an eviction of the tenant, signed by the property owner before notary public who serves it personally towards the tenant. Usually this document gives prior notice, when served in possession proceedings, of termination of a tenancy within a specific deadline.
