Pecuniary gift

Pecuniary gift – in the meaning, given by the Inheritance Law in many jurisdictions, the pecuniary gift is a bequest of money, implemented in a personal will or legacy. So, after the death of the testator and after opening/reading the will, the pecuniary gift has to be forwarded towards the patrimonial of the detailed beneficiary. For example, a person decides to gift to their grandchildren a particular sum of money, instead of a house or a plot of land. A synonym is “general bequest” or “pecuniary bequest”.
