Pessimi exempli

Pessimi exempli – this phrase comes from Latin and in the Common Law systems it is used to detail the worst occurred example of very negative precedent or practice. If a convicted criminal has committed the crime under drug influence, then this will be the worst example of the concrete crime practice. I.e. such crimes are considered as more serious crimes and somewhere ever received death punishment. See also “per vinum delapsis capitalis poena remittitur”.
