Qui bono – this term comes from Latin and means “to the benefit of whom”. It could have two different meanings:

– in the Criminal Law to refer to the indication that the person who has been arrested on the crime scene, presumably is not the one who has actually committed the crime.

– in the area of Tort Law it refers to actions, done by you with the incretion to achieve benefit for yourself.
