Principal judgement

Principal judgement – this term is used in the area of Litigation procedures. It details the sum, awarded with the court decision, being only the principal – without interests, expenses, etc. For example you are suing for refund of 1000 Euro, but you have paid also court tax and lawyer’s fees and also you pursue interest on top of the sum. If a sum of 1000 Euro only is awarded to you with the court decision, then it represents a principal judgment.
