Registrant – in the area of Property Law this term refers to the figure or a person who submits an application at the Land Register (where applicable such institution) for enrolling of a burden or a mortgage, or established property right in their favor on the land of another owner. The registrant gets listed along with the others in the registry and receives particular legal rights because of this. In practice, a bank which releases a mortgage loan is a registrant of the mortgage at the Land Register.
