Regulation

Regulation – within the meaning, given by the Administrative Law, the term “regulation” uses to describe particular act, a legal rule or an administrative order that manages and organizes procedures within a society or organization. Mostly it refers to an executive decision of a government which has not been subjected to the Parliament (contrary to a statute). It is often detailed and not, as would be a statute, of general wording or another application. In other words –in order to enter in force, a regulation often has to be published. Synonym to the terms “ordinance” or “bylaws”, the last preferred instead in many jurisdictions.

Another application of the term is in the expression “regulated fair disclosure”, applicable in the area of Company Law. There it details a legal rule, obliging corporations to present to investors full and precise information, and not to release it only to particular investors, giving them advantage, or misleading towards other investors.
