Release date

Release date – in the sphere of Court Trials, the release date is the one on which the court decision has been issued, respectively posted to the participating parties. They say in practice, that the decision has been “released”. It has to be noted here, that a role of starting date for the appeal period has not the release date, but the receiving date – i.e. the date on which the party has been served with the court decision and has signed a delivery receipt for acknowledging it. This is because technically several days may pass until the decision reaches the hearing parties or their appointed legal representatives (lawyers).
