Rendition of judgment

Rendition of judgment – in practice, this term applies in Court Trials in many legal systems. There it refers to the act of proclaiming the court decision to the parties, participating in the lawsuit. In other words – this term describes publishing of the decision and informing officially the participants in the court case about it. This event initiates the periods for its eventual appeal by any of the parties.

The origin of the term is the word “rendition” which literally means a translation, an interpretation, or may refer to the act of rendering.
