Resigner – this legal term refers to a person who abandons legal right. For example it finds application in the Inheritance Law, where a heir may declare that they abandon their rights of inheritance share. Usually this is done in situations where the debts attached to the inheritance share are more than its actual value. So the inheritor does not find it beneficial to accept their share of the inheritance pot. Or it may appear in situations where the inheritor decides to gift their part to the rest of the heirs, and respectively to increase their own shares.
