Retreat rule – this legal term applies in the sphere of Criminal Law in some legal systems. There it details a legal rule, commanindg a way of defense, where the victim should leave the place of crime, instead of attacking the offender back to respond to the harm. It applies only if the victim is not in their own home or premise at the moment of crime (where of course, the victim has nowhere to leave).
