Romalpa clause

Romalpa clause – in the Commercial Law in some jurisdictions there is legal right established in favor of the trader, to keep possession of sold goods or products until paid by the buyer. The role is to secure their interests against unfair purchasers. Even if the purchaser holds the goods, if they fail to pay it, the seller may get ownership of these back. This is why sometimes such agreement is called “retention of title clause”.
