Pretrial actions: In the Civil Trials, the pretrial actions usually seek the goal to secure the interests of the claimant in relation to the prospective claim. For example in some jurisdictions this could be the specific request which the claimant makes towards the judge. The pursued goal to allow burdening the defendant’s assets to secure the outcome of the prospective claim is pretrial action. Especially in cases where the plaintiff may have not yet submitted the main claim. Somewhere called also “pretrial motion”
