Administrator – this term is used in the area of Inheritance Law. There it details the figure of a person who administers the assets of a decedent. The administrator is appointed usually by the (probate) court. He is the person who would then have the power to deal with the debts and assets of a person who died intestate. Female administrators are called “administratrix.” An administrator has the capacity as a personal representative.
