Appellee – the term participates in the sphere of Court Trials in some jurisdictions. It details the legal figure of the party who sits opposite on the appellant’s appeal. And seeks to persuade the appeals court to affirm the 1^st instance court’s decision. Usually, this the party in which favor is the issued decision by the lower court. And respectively has no motivation to appeal it. This is why plays the role of the defendant at the appellate court. He does not have to pay appeal fee to the court.

Example: “The appellee didn’t hire a lawyer to represent him at the court hearing”.
