Chansery Division – in many jurisdictions this is the civil division of the High Court, dealing with various types of cases involving Property law, Company Law, Torts, Divorces, Inheritance claims, etc. Usually the Chansery Division does not hear criminal trials, and in cases where a subject of a civil case turns to be a crime or felony, then it is to be passed to the Criminal Court and decided, before the civil court proceeds ahead.
