Charges Register

Charges Register – this legal term refers to one of the functions of the Land Register. There in the file of each immovable property a charge (like mortgage, legal burden or provisional measure) could be registered or detailed in specific section at the file, in order to be visible for the public and for all interested parties. The role of the charges register is to inform the public about the actual legal status of the property. In practice, people get informed about the legal status of the property, before they buy it, so then they can be sure that their title won’t get affected.
