Close company

Close company – Within the area of the Corporate Law, the term refers to a company which is controlled by five people or less, or by its directors being at the same time also the shareholders of the company. Close companies are usually formed by people who know each other and put trust to each other, resp. have some formal or non-formal relation among themselves. In practice, for example the family controlled companies, and many small companies are considered close companies.
