Dismortgage

Dismortgage – within the area of the Real Estate Law, the term refers to the situation of a settlement of mortgage, where there is paying back the loan by the debtor, a written decision by the creditor to remove the mortgage, an application for removal of the mortgage, payment of the related tax (usually half the tax paid for the mortgage registration Stamp Duty) and actual removal of the mortgage on the base of strict application at the Land Registry Agency in the State where the property is situated.
