Law of Shаria (The Islamic Law) – this term refers to the law according to the Muslim religion and as interpreted from the Koran religious book. Islamic law is probably best known for deterrent punishment, which is the basis of the Islamic criminal jurisdiction and the fact that there is no separation of church and governmental authorities. Under Islamic law, the religion of Islam and the government force are one. Islamic law is ruled, controlled by the religion and it purports to regulate all public and private behavior including personal hygiene, diet, sexual conduct, and child rearing. Islamic law now prevails in countries all over the middle east and elsewhere covering twenty per cent of the world’s population. Bearing that sometimes the provisions of the Islamic Law differ a lot than the Western Law Systems, this “Sharia” should be read in advance, respectively to be respected and obeyed when residing in the countries where it applies.
