Parole board

Parole board – In most countries, this term describes the body of a governmental guarantee commission for releasing prisoners on suspended sentence before expiration of their time, if the prisoner has met the applicable parole conditions. The refusal of the commission to grant parole to the prisoner, where they send him back to prison, is called “parole revocation” and usually could be appealed at the court. The parole board is different than the body which gives “pardon”- this is usually the President, with retrospective force.
