Petit larceny

Petit larceny – in the sphere of Criminal Law, the petit larceny occurs in cases where there is a theft of valuables (usually movables) under the minimum value, which requires a criminal prosecution. It usually leads to ending the criminal conviction before going to court and releasing of the convicted person without criminal punishment (somewhere only charging him with a fine to avoid performing the petit crime again). For example, if you steal a bread from the store, while the minimum value of the stolen item according to the local legislation would be a 100 Euro.
