Petitory claim

Petitory claim – in the area of Real Estate Law, this phrase refers to ownership (title) title claim, submitted at the civil court. It is different and independent than the possession claim and it pursues different goal. The result of the petitory claim is that the plaintiff will get official ownership right on the concrete real estate in dispute, while the result of the possessory claim is getting legal possession only.
