Postliminium

Postliminium – this term comes from Latin and nowadays it is used mostly in Military Law. It may have two different meanings:

1) It could refer to the legal right of a property owner to claim back the ownership via eviction procedure, after an occupancy is ended, although during the occupation the occupant may have sold the property towards other, third party.

2) It could relate to the procedure of establishing in full the frames the legal status of soldiers who are captured during war, once they are resided/transferred back to their country of origin.
