Probate court

Probate court – this legal term is used in the area of Civil Law in some jurisdictions, where details the figure of special body of court, which exercises probate jurisdictions. The probate court in some countries deals with registration of wills, administration of estates, distribution of probate assets of deceased people and supervision of a guardianship of infants. It also hears and settles inheritance claims, where decides who is entitled legally to receive the inheritance and who is not. See also “probate” and “probate bond”.
