Promisor

Promisor – within the area of Law of contracts in many legal systems, the figure of the promisor is the the party which has become obliged through a promise (usually expressed in a contract, concluded with the opposite party) towards another, the intended beneficiary of the promise being referred to as the promisee. Also sometimes referred to a “obligor” Synonyms are “guarantor” and “surety”.
