Propound

Propound – To offer a document as being authentic or valid. Used mostly in the Wills & Probate Procedures. For example, to propound a will means to take legal action, as part of probate, including a formal inspection of the will, by the court. In the area of Law of Contracts, to propound an agreement means to pass it for consideration and acceptance, or alternatively, a rejection. A synonym is “proffer”. Usually lawyers propound terms and agreements to the other party for their revision and acceptance.
