Public reprimand – the Criminal Law defines the public reprimand as a sanction for less serious offences. It is published in the local media, or placed on a board at the place where the punished offender works or studies in. The role is to make him/her feel ashamed from the wrongful act done and been sentenced for. Sometimes referred as “public rebuke”.
