Pyramiding of benefits – in the area of Tort claims, this term refers to a claimant who has received compensation for damages on the same occasion more than once (for example, after completing in his/her favor two identical court cases). Such pyramiding of benefits is forbidden in most legal systems – the reason is because the injured/harmed cannot be left to benefit or acquire pprofit from the suffered injury.
