Re-compensation – in the legal practice, this legal term applies in the area of Court Procedures. Re-compensation details an objection made by the primary claimant, that the amount pretended with the counterclaim has been already paid in full. For example in Scottish Law, when a party sues for a debt and the defendant pleads compensation, the claimant may allege compensation on their part.
A synonym is “reparation”.
