Reformation – Within the area of Law of Contracts in some legal systems, this term details an amendment done to a contract. Amendments are usually done via annex, signed by all the parties who concluded initially the contract. In some jurisdictions a reformation is to be done by court decision, on the base of a petition by any of the parties, which believes there is defective part of the agreement due to fraud or misleading. A synonym is “realignment”.
