Revoke – this term is used in the Law of Contracts, where refers to the act to remove, to terminate previously and validly concluded agreement, for example. In the Commercial Law, warranties of products, given for certain period after the purchase, may be revoked in situations where the buyer intentionally damages the product. Another example lays in the conveyance procedures, where a given power of attorney may be revoked by the client, in situations where the legal job has been done, or where the client does not want to use the services of the particular lawyer any longer. In property law in some legal systems, a donation may also be revoked by the donator. Synonyms of revoke are “obliterate” and “vitiate”.
