Warrant

Warrant – in the legal practice, within the sphere of Court Trials this term details an undertaking before the Court by which a participating party agrees to follow particular procedure. This is usually to ensure their participation during court hearing. Sometimes in Criminal Proceedings, a sum of money is normally pledged by the court to ensure compliance. Or there could be another example. A person convicted of the small offense could be released from punishment if he agrees to follow particular behavior. He makes this recorded obligation towards the court, which obligation is called recognizance.

The warrant is also a court authorization towards the police to conduct a search or make an arrest. Another meaning is for a security that entitles its holder to purchase the share of the issuer at a concrete price and for a specific term.
