Charge sheet – Within the sphere of Criminal Law in many countries, this term refers to a file which an investigating police officer prepares to record details of an accusation against a suspect, and serves it to them in the presence of their lawyer. Once done, the charge sheet is then passed towards the prosecutor for revision and further actions before court. In some legal systems, the charge sheets are prepared directly by the prosecutor, and the investigating officer, who handles the case, only serves there towards the suspected person.
