Birth certificate

Birth certificate – in most countries the birth certificate is issued after the birth of a person, in order to serve two main purposes:

1) To identify the born baby via giving unique name to it, as well to identify legally who their parents are;

2) To give/grant citizenship of the born baby by the virtue of their place of birth (i.e. the jus soli, or the “right of soil” citizenship.

Usually the birth certificate consists of various details like the place of birth, date of birth, names of the baby, names and address of the parents, the name of the institution which has issued the certificate, etc.
