Rectification – this term has two different meanings, depending of its application in practice:
1) Within the area of Court Trials in some legal systems, this term details the procedure of removal of a mistake (usually a technical mistake) in court decision. Normally a rectification is being performed by the court jury which has previously issued the decision.
2) – in the Tort Law, it details the procedure to repair a damage done by compensating the injured person, who has got the right of redress. Synonyms are “remedy”, “reparation”, “retribution” and others, which share the same meaning.
