Remedial action

Remedial action – this phrase is part of the Tort Law and in practice it is used in civil proceedings in some jurisdictions where refers to the legal right of a person to seek refund, or recovery of damages occurred to them in person; or occurred to their personal property. This is why it is named also somewhere as “personal action”. People usually pursue monetary compensation in civil court of law for occurred material and non-material damages. For example, if somebody’s car hits you, then you can claim remuneration (i.e. compensation) for your medical treatment and for the non-material damages for the time you experienced these. Such non-material damages could represent physical pain, inconvenience, negative feelings, etc.
