Right of silence

Right of silence – this legal term finds application in the Court Trials in some jurisdictions, where refers to a right, applicable during oral questioning. Right of silence entitles the person who is making oral testimony, to decline answer of particular question, which he/she believes has nothing to do with the subject of the lawsuit, or where the given answer could lead to sharing details of criminal activity or putting in danger the witness or another person related to them.
