Wrongful dismissal – Being fired from a job without a legal reason. The employment implies an employment contract, which may be supplemented by the Labor Law, for example. Either it could provide for certain procedures to be followed, failing which any job release is wrongful dismissal. And then the employee could ask the local court to award damages against the employer or to proclaim the firing void. In some jurisdictions, there is no court tax for entering such a claim. Can also be referred to as “dismissal without just cause.” Not all jurisdictions recognize this tort law action.
