Cabotage – within the area of the Maritime Law in countries that reach sea or ocean, the term refers to travel of a vessel (a ship usually) along the coast of a particular country, for the purpose of business trading (transportation of goods and passengers) from one local port to another. Cabotage usually does not involve leaving the borders of this country (i.e. no international shipping is done).
