Duces tecum – From Latin: this term means “bring with you”. Used mostly for species of subpoena (as in “subpoena duces tecum“) which seek not so much the appearance of a person before the local court of law, but the surrender of a thing (eg. a document or some other evidence) by its holder, to the court, to serve as evidence in the court process.
